Hello, I am so glad you have found my website and I would love to tell you a bit about my practice:
As a child and teen therapist, I am able to address a wide range of issues such as anxiety, grief, depression, relationship or school challenges. When working with teens, I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Practices, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. Additionally, I approach the therapeutic process from a strengths based perspective, which means that I draw on the strengths within the client.
When working with children, I primarily utilize directive and non-directive play therapy as this is the language through which children communicate. However, every child is unique and has a unique set of needs, which I continually reassesses throughout the therapy process.
No matter the individual or age, my work is always grounded in the cultivation of a trusting and positive therapeutic relationship. This is truly the foundation from which all healing and change takes place. Additionally, it is due to this positive therapeutic relationship that I find teens and children actually want to continue coming to therapy.
